Describe a typical day at work: A typical day for me consists of greeting the DSG’s in the morning. Before the day starts my mentor and I will then discuss what activities or sessions we have planned for the day and ensure we have all equipment we need to compete the session. At recess and lunch we sit around have a feed and a bit of a yarn and check in with our DSG’s. Throughout the week where a DSG and my other Mentor sees fit one of us will sit in and offer one on one support to our DSG’s during certain classes. My afternoons will then finish off with a bit of case study/general DSG report note taking.

Describe a typical day at work: The program I work in offers so much variety, and each day can be very different in Reset. My main daily focus is helping my clients, so that may be visiting them in a custodial environment, in the community or linking them in to a training organisation. I look at where my client has been in their employment journey so far and where they want to go. We then focus on putting steps in place to help them get there. My role also involves monitoring our team’s caseloads, as well as reporting and ensuring our team is meeting our contractual obligations.
Interesting Fact about you: I nearly gave up playing football when I was 18 to focus on my Athletics career. I had no intentions to play AFL footy.
Something you like to do in your spare time: Spend time with my family and friends and love to watch the footy.

Favourite part about your job: Yarning and having one on one mentoring with my DSG girls
Describe a typical day at work: Get up at 6am. Coffee + tunes. Get onto site at around 8am and start most of my morning checking in with my girls and making sure they are all set up for the day. Then head into my office and do some admin things or session planning while girls are in class. Recess and Lunch is a busy time where both the Aboriginal boys and girls are in and out of the unit and we all just catch up.
Throughout the day I will arrange meetings for after school hours (when my girls have gone home) so that I can focus my attention from them to who ever I am meeting with. After the meetings I head home and basically just eat-sleep-repeat.
Interesting Fact about you: I went to a Japanese Primary school and spoke it fluently as a kid + visited the country twice. I am not as fluent anymore but I still understand most of it.
Something you like to do in your spare time: Something creative and artistic e.g painting, creating fun makeup looks and content for my makeup business

Describe a typical day at work: Generally I get in pretty early to go through my emails, usually have contact with our funding partners and government Departments before meeting with most of our Commercial Ops team throughout the day. Every day is different, at the moment we are looking at implementing a new strategy across the Foundation which is great for our growth going forward.

Favourite part about your job: Seeing the growth of each girl as each day goes by. Also knowing the impact you are having on their life is going to positively enhance every attribute in years to come.
Describe a typical day at work: My starts off with the bus run picking girls up and taking them to school. Before the bell goes for first period we all sit around and have a yarn, mostly about anything and everything. We have a timetabled session with each year group once a week, which varies from period 1 to period 5. During breaks it switches between spending time in the DSG room or walking around the school yard with the girls. My day ends with dropping the girls off home, ready to do it all over again. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Interesting Fact about you: My godfather is Leon ‘Neon’ Davis – who played for Collingwood FC.
Something you like to do in your spare time: This really depends on my mood, I either like to chill and Netflix binge or do my makeup and take selfies.

Describe a typical day at work: I generally start the day with a Justice team meeting to set help staff set up for the day. This is normally followed by meetings with Justice stakeholders or prison visits. The afternoon starts with me reviewing management tools to check performance and then checking in with staff from a safety point of view. The day will finish with me mapping out the following days tasks.

Describe a typical day at work: My day generally starts with going through our social media channels to check any of our mentions, comments or likes. Then checking through the local and national news to see if there is anything relevant to us as well as if we have any media alerts for the Foundation or any of our mentors. I love that my days are quite varied and can include anything else from creating a flyer, posting or reporting on our socials, drafting a media release, planning events, editing the website and generally any other marketing/communications or events tasks that pop up.

Describe a typical day at work: No two days are ever the same but on a typical day you can find me in the MRP office coordinating sites and lending a hand to the Wirra club program or out visiting the DSG school sites ensuring the DSG program is running efficiently.

This is normally followed by reviewing and assessing a process of the organisation and looking for a way to standardise this. During the day, I may need to create a document, review trainings or review the relevant legislation for applicable for the organisation.
