Deadly Sista Girlz Launches in Geraldton
We headed to Geraldton to officially launch our Deadly Sista Girlz program at Champion Bay Senior High School last week.
In a year that has required a bit of adjustment and creativity it was great to get some of our team from Perth up to Geraldton for the launch and to catch up some of the Geraldton community.
Deadly Sista Girlz Team Coordinator Alicia Janz said DSG is an important program for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls.
“We see our young girls as the future and we’re all about educating and promotion positive life choices.” she said.
After the launch, the girls showed off their growing football skills with an exhibition match.
Our local DSG mentors based at the school engage and empower our girls to make positive lifestyle choices through mentoring sessions and support.
Deadly Sista Girlz is proudly supported by the National Indigenous Australians Agency.
